ICAN NATIONAL VICE PRESIDENT PAYS VISIT TO UAES

The National Vice President of the Institute of Chattered Accountants of Nigeria , Dr. Etofolam Osuji Mni on Tuesday 22nd  July 2024 paid a first time visit to the University of Agriculture and Environmental Science , Umuagwo. Dr. Etofolam said he was on a familiarization visit to get himself acquainted with the University , it’s Management and Staff . 

Speaking to the Ag. Vice-Chancellor and Management, he expressed pleasure to be in the institution and with what it has managed to build in such a short time. He discussed broadly the relevance of ICAN and different ways with which the ICAN can partner with the institution for the good of the school and its students . Dr. Etofolam who hopefully would emerge the next president of ICAN also brought with him many accounting books and study materials for the University Library and for the various accounting related departments. 

The Acting Vice-Chancellor , reacting to his speech expressed his pleasure to receive him to the university. He encouraged Dr. Etofolam  not to relent in his efforts to bring ICAN down to the school as well as it’s attendant benefits. He also Charged the Head of Department (HOD) of Accounting Dr.Ozuomba to find a way of marrying both the school course outline with ICAN requirements so that our students can start taking professional qualification exams as soon as possible. 

Thereafter Dr. Etofolam Osuji presented the books and study materials he had brought to the Acting Vice-Chancellor , Management , Staff of Accounting and Taxation Departments  and some select students who were there to witness the presentation . Also present at the meeting were the University Registrar Prince Edward Njemanze , Bursar Mr. Robert Anikputa , Librarian Prof. Mrs. Chidi NWosu , Dr. Ozuomba and Dr. C.C Chima .
