IJMB OFFICIALS PAY COURTESY CALL ON AG. VICE-CHANCELLOR UAES

Officials of the Interim Joint Matriculation Board on Monday 22nd July, 2024 on an official visit. The team who were on ground to monitor the university facilities to ascertain how ready they were for the project decided to first pay a courtesy call on the A.g Vice- Chancellor , Prof. Christopher Chiedozie Eze before proceeding on a tour of the facilities with the Cordinator of the program for the institution Dr. Ozuomba. 

The leader of the team  Dr. Rita Akpan expressed her gratitude to the university for accepting to run the program for the school. She highlighted the many ways the program would help intending students facilitate admission into the university instead of waiting to write another jamb. She detailed on the successes of the program so far in the country explaining that the program has been more predominant in the north but since she assumed office as director she took it upon herself to see that the program is well replicated in the east as well. 

Dr. Rita explained the scoring and grading basis and needed average to qualify for a direct admission into second year in a university where the program is being run. She detailed that the program can officially begin in the institution after their inspection which she expects to bring positive result. 

In his reaction, Prof. Christopher Chiedozie Eze , thanked the team for coming and for the very enlightening briefing. He expressed his and the schools readiness to start on the progress as soon as possible. He encouraged the team to take its tour of facilities and to remain firm on their mission to enshrine the program in universities in the east whom he believes need the program the most. Before exit, the forum took out a minute to sing a birthday song to one of the IJMB officials and Imo state Cordinator of the program who incidentally was born same day. Present at the meeting was another member of the IJMB team Mr. Imoke . The Registar Prince Edward Njemanze, Bursar Mr. Robert Anikputa, Librarian Prof. Mrs. Chidi Nwosu and the Program Cordinator Dr. Ozuomba were also present .
