FUTO CE-sPESS SUCCESSFULLY TRAINS OVER 150 STAFF MEMBERS OF UAES

No fewer than 150 staff of the University of the Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Umuagwo have been trained on Procurement Procedures, Social and Environmental Standards. The training took place between 12th and 16th December 2023 at Federal University of Technology Owerri.

The training which has been described as timely is another effort of the Prof Christopher Chiedozie Eze administration aimed at human capacity development. Staff members who participated at the training were drawn from both the teaching and non-teaching cadres.

The training which held at the FUTO CE-sPESS facility, a world bank sponsored project was filled with verifiable value and highly engaging. Members of staff who attended the course have reported high degree of satisfaction with the quality of facilitators , the course content and the general impact of the course of their knowledge base.

While presenting the certificates at the end of the training, the FUTO CE-sPESS director Prof. Gloria Chukwudebe thanked the attendees for cooperating with their facilitators to herald a seamless training. She expressed hope that some of the staff would elect to come back and further their studies up to MSc. and even Phd level within any of the three distinct fields domiciled in the facility.

She also commended the acting Vice -Chancellor of UAES for engineering such fruitful partnership between the two institutions, praying that such spirit leads to even more fruitful outings.
