The Anglican Bishop of Ohaji-Egbema Diocese, Rt. Rev’d Dr. Chidi Collins Oparaojiaku, has hailed Professor Christopher Chiedozie Eze, Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Umuagwo Imo State, for his strides in the Institution.

The prelate made this remark penultimate Thursday when the Management of the University paid him a courtesy visit at his court in Umuokanne.

Bishop Oparaojikau thanked the Vice-Chancellor for placing staff in their right ranks to promote productivity and engender justice. According to the Bishop: “Testimonies from the University are positive. This is a sign that you are doing well. We thank God for you appointment.”

Speaking further, the Bishop stated that the University is best positioned for excellence due to its location, adding that he would be in prayers for the Institution to achieve its mandate as an academic Institution of higher learning. He harped on the need to organize career talks for students so that they would be conscious of prevailing in life beyond white collar jobs.

In his response, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Christopher Eze, stated that the young University had been repositioned for excellence. He also reeled some modest achievements he had recorded in the University, pledging to keep the flag flying.

The University chief advertised the 29 programmes run in the Institution, adding that the marketability of a course depends on the student reading it.
