UAES READY FOR PARTNERSHIP IN AGRICULTURAL VALUE CHAIN, SAYS PROF. EZE

The Ag. Vice-Chancellor of the University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Umuagwo Imo State, Prof. Christopher Chiedozie Eze, has expressed the readiness of the Institution to partner any organization in the area of agricultural value chain development.

Professor Eze made this remark when he played host to the traditional ruler of Umuokanne in his office on 19th January, 2024. The Vice-Chancellor made it clear that the University had a duty to make life better through vital research and collaborations in the area of agriculture and environment. He praised the traditional ruler and his cabinet for coming to familiarize with him.

The University Chief noted that Umuokannne is an agrarian town with huge economic potentials and could serve as an agricultural extension site.

Earlier, the traditional ruler of Umuokanne, HRH Eze Dr. Matthew Chiedozie Nwokoma (Okaa-Omee IV of Umuokanne), had congratulated the Vice-Chancellor on his appointment, describing his visit as one “aimed at fostering a bond of friendship and good relationship between our community and your institution.”

He pledged readiness to collaborate with the University in the area of research aimed at improving crop and animal production.
