UAES MIRROR PUBLICATION UNVEILED AMID ENCOMIUM

The first volume of the UAES MIRROR has been officially unveiled by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Umuago, Imo State, Prof. Christopher Chiedozie Eze.

Performing the Unveiling Ceremony at the Senate Chambers on 31st January, 2024, the VC described the publication as one which fills the gap of information and public relations. He commended the Information and Public Relations Unit of the Institution for rising to the challenge of producing a credible news compendium that will be a reading delight to everyone.

In his words, the action Vice-Chancellor stated thus: “We have come today to unveil the UAES MIRROR, the official newsletter of the University. The production of this news medium became necessary because of the centrality of information and public relations to any enterprise. This compendium of news stories about the activities of our beloved Institution is expected to further announce the name of our University. We thank the Information and Public Relations Unit of our great Institution for rising to the challenge of collating information, giving them breath and publishing them.

“We are determined to make the production of the UAES MIRROR a quarterly affair, all things being equal. As you may well know, a University Newsletter is a selling point of a University because it serves as a historical document for the future. For instance, it will not be difficult for a reader of this edition to take note of most of what we did in the greater part of 2023.”

The editor of the publication and Ag. University PRO, Dr. Ugochukwu Iwuji, in his speech commended the Vice-Chancellor for providing the atmosphere for great things to happen in the Institution. He also lauded the University helmsman for taking time to read through the manuscript. The editor described the publication as rich in news and avant-garde in style.
